94% reported pain relief. That is not an advertising poster

In a Florida survey, 260 of 278 patients who named chronic pain as one of their main reasons for using medical cannabis said their pain improved. The rounded 94% practically begs to be printed large on a package, but the study, published in Cannabis on 30 October, was not a drug trial. These were medical-programme participants’ responses collected in 2022, without random assignment or a placebo group. Only people still in the programme completed the survey; those who had stopped using medical cannabis may have had less positive experiences – a selection bias the authors themselves identify.
