California puts its own cannabis memory on display
The Mendocino County Museum opened “Behind the Redwood Curtain”, an exhibition on California cannabis culture from the 1970s to legalisation in 2016. It was assembled with the Cannabis Culture Museum, a local farm and residents; it runs until 28 November, after which part of the collection is expected to tour. When a political subject moves from the underground into a local museum, society gets a rare chance to examine a biography rather than a slogan.
