Intestinal cells answer CBD plus a terpene with 125% — still in a Petri dish

In a laboratory model of intestinal epithelium, the combination of CBD and beta-caryophyllene produced an electrical-resistance reading 125% above the control on day 22, a sign of a tighter cellular barrier. Glucose use and expression of one transporter gene also changed. The authors explicitly call for studies in living organisms, so marketing may write down the handsome number while putting the treatment claim back in the drawer.
