French medical cannabis reaches the final door — according to consultants

Business of Cannabis, citing Paris consultancy Augur Associates, reports that the final reimbursement decree has reached France's Conseil d’État and could complete review within weeks. This stage has not been publicly confirmed, so it is neither enacted law nor an announced launch date; price and reimbursement assessments would still follow publication. About 700 patients remain in the extended pilot, down from 1,849 in September 2024 — so far, the French system has been quicker at shortening the queue than opening the permanent programme.
