Reducing use showed benefits even without complete abstinence
A randomized pilot study enrolled 59 adults. After a two-week baseline, researchers tracked six weeks of cannabis reduction with daily assessments and saliva testing. Reduction, even without complete abstinence, was associated with less drugged driving and better working memory. Findings for mood and pain were unclear, and no change in physical activity was detected; a short pilot points to a direction rather than prescribing a universal answer.
