Iowa discusses a narrow move of medical cannabis to Schedule III

On 20 October, the Iowa Board of Pharmacy is holding a hearing on temporarily placing marijuana and delta-9 THC in Schedule III only when they are components of an FDA-approved product or subject to the state medical cannabidiol programme. The proposal follows the federal change but does not reschedule the entire market or legalise non-medical possession. The schedule may gain a new line; it does not come with an eraser for the remaining prohibitions.
