Illinois tests what hemp products contain, beyond the label

An Illinois report describes laboratory testing of 527 hemp products bought in summer 2025. According to The Marijuana Herald’s reading of the report, 26% of tested non-CBD edibles exceeded 10 mg of THC per unit, and one sample reached 121.4 mg. These figures describe the tested sample, not every product in the state; a label is no substitute for a laboratory result.
