Placebo calmed people as well as THC

In a double-blind Washington State University trial, 120 regular users received placebo, 20 mg or 40 mg of THC before reporting stress alongside physiological measures. All three groups described similar relief, although THC briefly lowered cortisol and skin conductance, increased heart rate and did not change heart-rate variability. Expectation performed like a persuasive actor, while the body delivered several different reviews.
