Tokyo puts Cheech & Chong beside Japan's hemp tradition

The Tokyo International Cannabis Film Festival will mark its fifth anniversary on 29 November at LOFT9 Shibuya with a special screening of Cheech & Chong's Last Movie. The organisers place 1970s American counterculture in conversation with Japan's hemp history through films, talks, music and international discussion. The official selections will also be available online, with audience-award voting open until 20 March 2027.
