Soweto turns cannabis into a conversation about the city and work
The third Soweto Cannabis Fest takes place on 25 October beside the Hector Pieterson Memorial, combining music, local makers, cycling tours and a discussion about bringing people from the underground economy into legal business. Safety is explicit: adults only, no free samples, ingredients disclosed and paramedics on site. It is also an argument against a stereotype of Soweto, using cannabis to show a living city and its entrepreneurs rather than scenery for someone else's report.
