Six months of medicine buy UK families time, not certainty

Six months: that is how long the current stock of Bedrolite oil should last, Target Healthcare has told families of patients with severe epilepsy. After Bedrocan's bankruptcy, this is an important breathing space, but the assurance covers existing stock rather than restored supplies: the necessary plant material is produced only in the Netherlands, and its transfer from the bankruptcy estate requires approval from the Dutch Office of Medicinal Cannabis. The British Embassy is discussing the problem with the Dutch Ministry of Health; no long-term solution has yet been confirmed.
