A bigger envelope arrives for Aurora
Canada’s Aurora has two suitors, and one is outbidding the other. On 3 November, Organigram announced an agreement to buy it for C$7.80 per share, valuing its equity at roughly C$561 million. By the companies’ calculation as of 2 November, that is 21% above the implied value of Curaleaf’s offer, which Aurora’s board rejected. Both boards unanimously backed the new proposal, but the corporate wedding has yet to happen: shareholder votes, court approval and regulatory clearances still lie ahead. Meetings are expected in December and closing in January 2027, provided the necessary conditions are met.
