CBD is packed into needles designed to dissolve

At the University of Mississippi, researchers incorporated cannabidiol, or CBD, into an array of tiny dissolving needles designed to release the substance in the skin. In a presentation given at PharmSci 360 on 27 October, the most promising formulation released around 70% of its CBD within two hours in laboratory fluid. The result comes from three replicate laboratory tests measuring the substance leaving the material into a test medium. These experiments do not establish how much CBD would reach a person’s bloodstream or whether the formulation would benefit patients.
