Comedy cops are called in to explain the ballot

In a new Broken Lizard video, Steve Lemme’s character turns up wearing a “Yes on Question 8” shirt, only to discover that he has backed the repeal of the legal cannabis sales he wanted to keep. The Super Troopers team plays out the confusion over Massachusetts’s 3 November vote: “yes” would prohibit regulated adult-use retail sales, while “no” leaves the current law in place. The video was paid for by a committee opposing the initiative, making it campaign comedy with a clear position; the state’s official voter guide separately confirms what the votes mean. If approved, the proposal would take effect on 1 January 2028 and retain the medical programme.
